How long does the course go for? Is this task an early one, or one that the students do later in their study? Are the students working as florists while they're doing the course, or do they do all their study first, and then get a job as a florist?
The students go a three year program with many courses, this course is in the beginning of the program and goes on for about one and a half year, it's a basic course which make grounds for further courses in the florist subject. The student have only done a couple of decorations before this one, and they have many left to go. This is only one of all variation you can do, and you can vary in an infinity.
The students ate studying in full time but some students work on the side, moonlighting as a florist. After they graduate from school they can get a full time job as a florist, but it can be hard to get a job because the competition is hard and they often don't need so many florist in one shop.
It's a hard question, i would say that the most important is to become creative and have a god technical knowledge to become a skilled florist, and you also have to have an eye for colors and forms.
